the role of a
Care Apprentice
Our Care Apprenticeship is crafted to develop skilled and empathetic individuals who are passionate about making a direct impact on people’s lives. This program provides a robust foundation for a fulfilling career in care. Our apprentices begin with an intensive six month training program, equipping them with the essential knowledge and practical skills required in caregiving. Following the initial training, they will engage in a unique work pattern, undertaking three weeks of each month are spent caring for our valued customers, with the fourth week being dedicated to activities and community engagement.
This blended approach ensures our apprentices develop a holistic understanding of the care sector, preparing them for a dynamic and compassionate career.
the role of an
Admin Apprentice
For those interested in the operational and strategic aspects of healthcare, our Administrative Apprenticeship offers an in depth exploration of how a care organisation functions. Our apprentices will gain comprehensive insight into the behind-the-scenes workings of how care operates, spanning various departments and administrative processes. This role fosters both independent work and collaborative teamwork, focusing on the development, implementation, maintenance and improvement of all administrative services.
This apprenticeship provides an excellent pathway for individuals looking to build a career in healthcare administration and management, understanding the vital support structures that enable quality care.
OUR Apprentices
Mikey (Admin Apprentice)
Mikey joined Springfield Healthcare as an Admin Apprentice, bringing a strong background in digital skills honed through previous volunteering at a local charity shop in Garforth. Eager to put his excellent computer knowledge to good use in a professional setting, Mikey hit the ground running and quickly integrated into the team.
Gracie (Admin Apprentice)
Gracie is an Admin Apprentice, assisting with the smooth operations of our Hull branch. Gracie initially found her passion for care following someone close to her receiving dignified and respectful care. This inspired her to make a real difference. What started as a work experience opportunity has led to Gracie having her own desk and becoming a key member of the team.
