Behind every major regulatory milestone is a leader with a vision. For Springfield Healthcare in Hull, that leader is Suzanne Rogers. Suzanne has been Registered Manager since 2015 and her journey is a testament to the power of passion, persistence and a family legacy of care.
Recently securing the TDDI registration is a landmark achievement for the branch, reflecting Suzanne’s long-standing commitment to making specialist clinical care accessible to families across Yorkshire.
Suzanne’s career with Springfield began with a clear local connection. Following in the footsteps of her two sisters, who both worked as carers at Springfield, Suzanne entered the sector with a deep-rooted understanding of the impact of quality support at home. She began her journey in the fast-paced on-call and bank work roles, learning the vital importance of being there for people when they need it most. Her natural ability to lead and organise quickly saw her rise from Care Coordinator to Service Manager, and finally to her current role as Registered Manager.
Suzanne has been a driving force in elevating the standards of the Hull branch. Her leadership was instrumental in the branch maintaining its ‘Good’ CQC rating, but her sights were always set on expanding clinical capabilities. Securing the TDDI registration was a rigorous process, requiring Suzanne to demonstrate exceptional clinical governance and safety standards. Now that the registration is live, she is spearheading the rollout of specialist care packages, including tracheostomy management and PEG feeding, across the region.
“This registration is a promise to our community,” Suzanne says. “My journey from a Coordinator to a Manager has always been about making sure families can stay together. By using our Hull base as a springboard, we can now bring expert clinical care to families throughout Yorkshire, helping them stay in the environment they love.”
Under Suzanne’s guidance, Springfield Healthcare Hull has evolved into a specialist clinical hub. Her story serves as an example of how dedication and frontline experience can lead to making a significant, region-wide impact. As Springfield expands its complex care services into the North East and across Yorkshire, Suzanne remains at the heart of the operation, ensuring that every individual receives the same compassion that first inspired her to enter the profession years ago.
