As the year draws to a close, we want to take a moment to wish all our carers, customers and their loved ones a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
This year has been another busy one for us, and we’re incredibly grateful for the hard work and dedication of our carers who go above and beyond to provide exceptional care to our customers. We’re also thankful for the trust and support of our customers and their families throughout the year.
Our December Highlights
Springfield Care Home
Our Springfield Care Home have truly outdone themselves with Christmas decorating this year. The home has been transformed into a winter’s grotto, and the staff dressed up as elves to bring some extra magic into our residents’ day. They have arranged for the residents to have some festive nail art, a silent disco and many arts and crafts sessions to get into the spirit of Christmas.
South tyneside
Our team at South Tyneside recently hosted a festive tea party for our customers, complete with Christmas carols from local school children, mince pies, bingo and plenty of laughter. It was wonderful to see customers and their carers come together to celebrate the season. We had some fabulous fancy dress, too!
Newcastle
The wonderful team at Newcastle have been busy spreading Christmas cheer by arranging a festive Christmas dinner for customers, their families and our carers to enjoy together. We celebrated on Thursday 12th at a local pub and enjoyed a three-course Christmas dinner, bingo, a raffle and a quiz. A wonderful afternoon was had by all!
Hull
Our carers have been busy making December magical for all our customers. They have been playing hiding Elves around the houses and our customers have loved seeing what mischief they get up to each day. They also hosted a brilliant Christmas dinner in the local church which was enjoyed by customers and our care team.
Sheffield
Our fabulous carers in Sheffield have been busy helping in our customers’ homes with their festive preparations. They encouraged them to take part in Christmas jumper day on Thursday and hosted a fun Christmas party for customers and carers at a local community centre to spread some festive cheer.
Campbell Court
The team at Campbell Court have decked the halls for Christmas and turned the restaurant into a magical winter wonderland. Amongst the festive decorations, our residents enjoyed a pantomime from a local company who came in to perform for them. They have also had primary school children come to see carols and a local pianist come to serenade them and a lovely Christmas party.
Hartlepool
Our activities team in Hartlepool have been busy this December creating an action packed calendar for our Pathways to Independence customer. They baked mince pies and Christmas wreath cookies and made Christmas table centrepieces and frosted bottles. They took a trip to see the local pantomime and celebrated with a Christmas party.
Leeds
Our Leeds team hosted a lovely party for customers on Christmas Jumper day! They celebrated the season with fun, games and festive treats.
Darlington
Our customers and carers had a fantastic time celebrating at their Christmas party filled with laughter, festive cheer and fancy dress. One customer even brought in a Grinch cheesecake which was a huge hit! We also had a raffle with lots of amazing prizes to be won and all proceeds going to charity. It was a wonderful day and a great way to celebrate the festive season together!
We’re committed to making a positive difference to the lives of our customers all year round, but we are especially happy to see our teams sharing joy and festive cheer to our customers and their families this December.
