Sheffield’s inaugural ‘Sheffield Cares Excellence Awards’ recently celebrated the dedication and compassion of the city’s healthcare professionals, and Springfield Healthcare was proud to be among the attendees, receiving two notable nominations.
The awards, designed to recognise outstanding contributions within the care sector, highlighted the individuals who go above and beyond in their roles. Springfield Healthcare’s team was thrilled to see two of their own recognised for their exceptional work.

Leanne Hill was nominated in the ‘Compassion in Care’ for her unwavering commitment to the elderly in the community. ‘I would nominate Leanne Hill for her brilliant work out in the community,’ her fellow carer wrote. ‘Leanne puts in many hours to help provide care and support to the elderly in our communities. She is very compassionate and does her very best for each and every client. The clients’ needs are the priority and heart of Leanne. Many years of hard work and compassion deserve to be recognised. Well done Leanne!’
Caleb Hanson received a nomination for ‘Inspirational Support and Leadership’ who emphasised Caleb’s dedication to both service users and his team. “Caleb goes above and beyond for his service users but also acts as the voice for his carers,’ his coworker stated. ‘He is a fantastic leader. He has a passion for leadership in care and also the progression in care. He is a wonderful asset!’.
Springfield Healthcare representatives expressed their pride in both Leanne and Caleb, acknowledging their dedication and the positive impact they have on the lives of those they support.
‘We are incredibly proud of Leanne and Caleb for their well-deserved nominations,’ Ronnie Gwindi said. ‘Their commitment to providing exceptional care and leadership is a testament to the values we uphold at Springfield Healthcare. To see their work recognised by the Sheffield Cares Excellence Awards is a fantastic achievement.’
The awards ceremony provided a platform to celebrate the hard work and dedication of care professionals across Sheffield, and Springfield Healthcare was honoured to be a part of the inaugural event.
