Lesley has been a carer for over eight years and truly loves it. She loves being a live-in care and providing consistent, 24/7 support to her clients. She values building strong relationships with clients through long conversations and getting to know them and one of my most cherished memories is of a client sharing stories about her late husband and the garden he built for them. When she’s not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two cats, creating art and travelling.

After 13 years in the care industry, Konrad has found his passion as a live-in carer, helping people live life to the fullest. He finds immense joy in encouraging customers to try new things and making the seemingly impossible, possible. When he’s not working, he enjoys spending time in nature and with his family in Poland.
“One of my favourite memories is with Peter, a customer who has cerebral palsy and uses a wheelchair. We were on a trip to the Lake District, and I had a surprise planned for him. I wanted him to have the chance to drive the boat himself! The look on his face when he realized what was happening was unforgettable. He was so happy that he called his mum straight from the boat to share the news, and he even extended our time on the water because he didn’t want it to end. Watching his joy and seeing how proud and alive he felt made it one of the most rewarding moments of my life. These moments are exactly why I love my work so much.”

What is live-in care?
Live-in care provides 24/7, one-to-one support from a professional carer who lives with you in your own home. The care is personalised to your needs and can include everything from personal care and cooking to household tasks and specialised support for complex health conditions.
How is the right live-in carer chosen?
Springfield carers are carefully selected through a meticulous recruitment process, including extensive background checks. We then use a matching service to pair you with a carer who fits your specific needs, interests and preferences, helping to create a strong and comfortable relationship.

What is the typical carer’s schedule?
A common schedule is a two-week rotation where a carer lives with you for two weeks, followed by two weeks off. This consistent approach allows both you and the carer to build a strong, lasting relationship.
What are the accommodation requirements for the carer?
To provide live-in care, the carer needs their own private bedroom, along with access to a bathroom and kitchen. Arrangements for their breaks can be made with family or other providers.
Will I get my own privacy?
Yes! Your privacy is one of our top priorities. Our carers are trained to respect your personal space and daily routine. They understand they are guests in your home and are there to support your independence, not take over.
Do carers provide overnight care?
Yes, live-in carers typically provide a sleeping night service, meaning they can be called on for assistance up to two times during the night. If you require more frequent overnight support, a waking night plan can be arranged to ensure you receive the continuous care you need.
