All the staff at Springfield are lovely. Carers and managers have a can-do attitude, and enable me to live my life the way I see fit. The carers raise any concerns they may have very quickly which allows any issues to be resolved with the minimum of fuss! So glad that these lovely people have come into our lives.
My dad moved into this lovely home in October 2023 and he has settled in so well – the care, love and support that he receives from all the staff is great. He is able to choose how much interaction he accesses and the staff allow him to have a voice in every aspect of his care, which is important to him. He has said recently to visiting professionals that he loves his room and it is his home.

Meet Rachel
Rachel’s extensive career in care began in a forensic psychiatric setting, working for over a decade with adult males detained under the Mental Health Act. Seeking a change, she transitioned to general nursing on a Coronary Care Unit at Doncaster Royal Infirmary. During this time, her entrepreneurial spirit led her to co-found a community care provider. After seven successful years, she sold the company to focus on her daughter’s health.
Following her daughter’s recovery, Rachel returned to community care, quickly advancing from a senior carer to Care Coordinator, Deputy Manager, and then Manager. Driven by her passion for encouraging independence and a desire for a new challenge, she joined Springfield, valuing the team’s unified, supportive goal and approachability.
