Springfield Care Home is a real home from home, and we are proud to call all of our residents and staff “the Springfield family”. We love and care for each other, are respectful and kind at all times and put the needs of our residents above everything.
You may not be in need of professional care but living in a residential care home environment could give you and your loved ones peace of mind that someone is on hand 24 hours a day. We can provide you with support that is tailored to your needs, whilst allowing you to live the most independent life as possible.
The home has developed substantially over the years and now includes the original house, a series of small communities within a purpose built extension providing rooms designed to meet the specific needs of those living within it, and a beautiful new glass conservatory.

Dementia Care
The staff at Springfield Care Home are both qualified and experienced in delivering care to individuals living with early onset dementia. Creating detailed care plans that cover the bespoke needs of every individual as well as ensuring they provide the best quality of care to meet the needs of our residents and their families consistently.
From pictorial menus and activity charts to dementia friendly signage for our bedrooms and facilities, we have created a homely environment that offers residents living with dementia the opportunity to maintain as much independence, freedom and happiness as possible.

Respite Care
We know that caring for a loved one is very rewarding – but that it can be one of the most challenging aspects of family life, too. Whether you care for a relative or are in need of care yourself, taking a break from your usual routine can do you the world of good.
Respite care is also ideal for those looking for convalescence, either following a hospital stay or an illness. A stay at Springfield Care Home provides the perfect opportunity to put in place care packages which start once a resident returns home and this can help free up valuable and much needed hospital beds in the local hospitals. You can arrange a trial stay as a temporary resident to see if Springfield Care Home is the right choice for them longer term.

At Springfield Care Home, we know that caring for a loved one during the final weeks and days can be both physically and emotionally difficult. Ensuring our residents are comfortable and receiving the appropriate professional medical care as well as emotional support is our primary role. We can positively influence the quality of time you are able to spend together as a family as end of life nears; whatever you need, we’re here to help.
We work closely with Healthcare professionals in the community and with Springfield Healthcare’s Regional Team who support quality and compliance, medications and clinical development to ensure that you receive the very best professional care. We aim to maximise the quality of life for our residents whilst also supporting their family and friends.

Springfield were absolutely fabulous with my parents who both had dementia, my father had vascular dementia and went downhill quicker than my mother. They treated them with compassion and always had a smile and took the time to engage with them
It was a big step for me to accept I needed care and to do something about it. The carers have transformed the quality of my life so much and lifted a huge weight from myself and my family.
All the staff at Springfield are lovely. Carers and managers have a can-do attitude, and enable me to live my life the way I see fit. The carers raise any concerns they may have very quickly which allows any issues to be resolved with the minimum of fuss! So glad that these lovely people have come into our lives.
My dad moved into this lovely home in October 2023 and he has settled in so well – the care, love and support that he receives from all the staff is great. He is able to choose how much interaction he accesses and the staff allow him to have a voice in every aspect of his care, which is important to him. He has said recently to visiting professionals that he loves his room and it is his home.
