Springfield will commence development works in January 2027 and be ready to open and greet new residents in 2028. The care home has been designed to deliver state of the art residential and dementia care for older people, and will offer a stimulating and active lifestyle for its residents both within the home as well as within the Wetherby community.
Promoting independence
The new care home’s immediate proximity to Wetherby’s town centre is a key feature designed to promote social interaction and independence for residents. Unlike many care homes that are often on the outskirts of towns, this location allows residents to easily access local amenities like shops, cafes and parks.
This provides a more person-centered approach to care, enabling residents to continue their daily routines and activities, such as shopping or going for a coffee, with minimal assistance.
